It will be something different, inspiring, new techniques and A NEW WAY OF LOOKING AT YOUR JOURNAL. I’m not sure exactly what Kae Pea is teaching in this class, but that makes me want to take it even MORE! I know there’s LOTS of stamping, getting to try all her wonderful RubberMoon images.
Kae Pea’s Zine-Ology workshop is a new take on zines and journaling! In this class we will create a few zines and a custom painted/collaged holder. We will explore inspirations, themes and ideas for your zine library. Kae Pea will have a huge selection of starter pages, stamps, inks as well as tips and techniques for layout and design!
Supplies to bring:

Kae Pea is so excited to bring you this new class featuring her new Moonlight Duo ink pads and piks! She will share her innovative techniques for creating wonderfully luminous, layered works of art on Claybord with a variety of celestial themed RubberMoon stamps and stencils. Kae Pea will show you how she creates texture and movement with just a handful of supplies. You will leave with 3 completed pieces!

WHIMSY WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP $135.00
Sunday, June 3rd 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Kae Pea will teach a variety of watercolor techniques, including wax resist, pattern stamping and color blocking to make fabulous backgrounds. She will address using different substrates and papers, including absorbent grounds and aquabord. By the end of the workshop you will have loads of inspiration and frame-able pieces of art! All materials provided except for watercolor brushes (see supply list for recommended brands/types).
Supplies to bring:
(Kae Pea recommends Peerless & Prima, or tubes, Golden Qor.
Watercolor brushes (recommends Princeton Velvetouch Long Round #6, #8, or #10)
Gum eraser and pencil
Watercolor Pencils – IF you have them
BRING A BASIC KIT – pencil, eraser(kneaded), scissors, ruler, black waterproof ink pad, micron pen, black sharpie, baby wipes, paper towels, water jar, white gesso, favorite adhesive.
Summer Challenge Kits – Under the Sea – $5.00
The canvas panel can be painted, sewn, embroidered, felted, stamped, inked, glued, anything you want! As always, you don’t have to use the items in the kit, just be sure to follow the challenges within the challenge. Do what you want, as long as you adhere to the Challenge.
Kit Includes: 2 – 12 x 12 Canvas sheets of fabric, Embroidery floss and/or wool roving, Collage sheets, Tissue paper and access to Helen’s stamps
ADDITIONAL CHALLENGES: Keep 12 x 12 size to a somewhat large size, Use acrylic paints or inks, Find a way to hang your canvas
SUGGESTIONS: Try sewing on your canvas, embroider, felt, use acrylic paints or inks. Use stencils, foil or leaf, and, of course, stamps and papers!
DUE DATE: Sunday, July 1st at 1:00 pm. We will have our Show & Tell and Gift certificate drawing.

Envelope Book Class

We’ll use some of the Business Envelopes we all get in the mail to construct a funky and original book to collage. Please bring at least 10 business size envelopes (the ones with the windows and inside patterns are the most fun), plenty of washi tapes, a large (or many) glue sticks, ink pads, acrylic paints, crayons, color sticks, you know the type. Bring black and white permanent pens, stamps, stencils and images to use in collage. Taught by Donna Bauermiller.

We are following the Tamara Laporte book, Create Your LIFE BOOK. While the exercises are “lead” it is not a class. Please bring your journal, or paper.
